Northborough – Kids and grown-ups wore their fancy attire Feb. 8 while attending the fourth annual Gala Jr. in the cafeteria at Algonquin Regional High School. The evening’s proceeds go to Northborough Education Foundation (NEF). Main Street Bank sponsored the event and supplied gift bags.

The first one and a half hours were recommended for children age 6 and under, followed by another 90 minutes for age 7 and older. Deejay Michael Rutkowski taught dance moves and led games with prizes. Hors d’oeuvres and desserts were served with pink lemonade. A raffle with prizes of an iPod touch and oversized stuffed animal raised additional funds.

NEF provides funds for programs not covered by the school budget. In 2019, NEF awarded $65,000 in school grants. For more information about NEF, visit northboroughed.org and facebook.com/northboroughed.
