NORTHBOROUGH – Skeletons, pumpkins, witches and ghosts. The Imhof family loves Halloween and invites residents to drive by their yard exhibit at 7 Greenwood Road, Northborough, which will not disappoint all the little (and big) goblins. Their decorated yard comes alive daily through Saturday, Oct. 31 at dusk, 6-10 p.m. weather permitting.
Michelle Imhof said she has always loved Halloween and a new excitement over it has been felt ever since she had her daughter Mia (now age 5).
The Imhofs’ yard is transformed into a Halloween display including over 15 inflatables, lights, spotlights, a projector and a fog machine. This year, drive by visitors can tune into 102.1 FM and sync with the Halloween music.

Michelle and her husband Mike moved to Northborough in 2012. What started out as a fun thing to do for family and friends has grown over the years, and has become a destination for many to drive by and to enjoy.
“Growing up, I always liked walking by houses and seeing them decorated for holidays,” said Michelle. “We have so much fun doing this together as a family.”
Mia helps with the family fun tradition and this year is in charge of the fog machine.
The feedback has inspired the family to do it even more.

“One person said it was her happy place to drive by after a long shift at work,” Michelle said. “I have met a lot of great people who stop by and say hello.”
As other towns are cancelling trick or treating, Michelle said this is a way for families to still have some Halloween fun while safely social distancing. She promises a few surprises and special guest appearances the week of Halloween.
“When you are home and can’t go anywhere, there’s a little more time to be creative,” said Michelle. “We always like to add and do something different each year to just keep it fun.”
When Halloween is over and Michelle has meticulously taken down the decorations to store for another year, be on the lookout as to what the Imhofs do for Christmas.
