NORTHBOROUGH – The Northborough Cultural Council is inviting artists to submit proposals for a public art campaign.
The installation, which is called “Go Out Doors,” was initially conceived for a new section of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in West Concord.
Now, though, this exhibit will feature interconnected works of art around Northborough’s town center and other public spaces.
Artists will be able to paint an upcycled door, which will be provided to them, for the installation. Artists who are selected will receive a stipend of $150 to cover the cost of paint.

“We seek images that depict nature and/or beauty and uniqueness of our town. We seek inspiration, whimsy, irony, reflection, connection, curiosity, spirituality and/or joy,” the council said in a press release.
At the end of the exhibit, the doors will be auctioned to support future public installations.
Artists must submit their proposals to Suzanne Cox at suzanne_cox@verizon.net by Dec. 1, including a letter explaining their concepts, resumes, links to previous work and up to three proposed images.
