

REGION – Need to get rid of a Christmas tree?
Area Boy Scout troops are planning a number of Christmas tree pickup drives over the next three weeks, collecting trees to support the community and to help fundraise for troop activities.

Northborough
Northborough Troop 101 will make its rounds on Jan. 8.
Northborough residents must sign up before Jan. 7 to be added to the pickup route. They then must leave their tree near their curb before 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 8.
The $10 cost per-tree will help fund troop activities.
Individuals can sign up online or by calling the Troop at 508-281-9972. Those with questions can also reach out by email to Nborotroop101Treepickup@gmail.com.
Southborough
Southborough Troop 1 will haul away trees on Jan. 8 at a cost of $12 per tree.
Tree pickup is free for veterans, police and fire personnel, and senior citizens.
Southborough residents must register by phone, email or text before 8 p.m. on Jan. 7. Individuals should provide their name, phone number and address in order to schedule a pickup.
Trees must be placed at the end of driveways by 9 a.m. on Jan. 8. Individuals should place their donation in a plastic bag clipped or taped to their tree.
“Thank you for supporting Southborough Scouting,” noted a flyer promoting this event.
Grafton
Grafton Troop 107 will collect trees on Jan. 8 and Jan. 15.
Individuals should schedule their pickup by contacting graftonbsatroop107@gmail.com and providing their name, address, zip code, email and preferred pickup date.
Individuals should leave their tree outside by 8 a.m. on their pickup date with an attached donation in a plastic bag on the tree.
Money raised will fund troop activities.

Grafton Troop 106 will also hold a tree collection drive.
Their event will run on Jan. 9 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The cost is $15 to be put toward funding future troop activities.
Individuals must register by emailing the troop at fundraising.troop106@troopmaster.email by Jan. 5. They should include their name, address and phone number and should place their trees on their curb by 9 a.m. on Jan. 9.
Individuals may also call Christopher Chiu at 508-293-1232 with any questions.
Troop 106 will accept payment by cash or check at pickup time. Those who will not be home during the 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. window, though, should send a check payable to Troop 106 to “Holly McCormick, 28 Hollywood Dr., North Grafton, MA, 01536.”
The troop is also introducing Venmo as a new payment option. Those interested can pay for their pickup by sending their $15 donation to @ScoutsBSA-106 with the subject line “Xmas tree pickup.”
Hudson
Hudson Troop 2 is organizing tree pickups for Jan. 2 and Jan. 8.
Individuals can register through the troop’s website.
Pickup costs $10.
Individuals should leave their trees on their curb the night before their scheduled pickup date.
