Northborough- On April 5, the Northborough Education Foundation (NEF) hosted its fourth annual Quiz Night at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston. Teams of four arrived in a variety of creative costumes, imitating the likes of Blue Man Group, Jane Fonda and the cast of the board game Clue. Competing in a six-round trivia competition, teams were tested in their knowledge of sports, pop culture, math, history, politics and Northborough trivia.
In addition to raising thousands of dollars—which will be awarded in NEF grants to the Northborough schools and the community—the event was a lot of fun for those who participated.
“Quiz night is a great opportunity to get creative with a costume, test your intellect and be reminded of how much you have forgotten, never learned or can’t quite recall. And all for a good cause,” said Liz Nasser, a Northborough resident and two-time Quiz Night participant.
Margaret Donahoe, principal of Proctor School concurred, noting, “What a great way to be humbled and still enjoy raising money to support educational endeavors in our school community!”
For the third year in a row, team “Let’s Look It Up,” a team of Northborough librarians wearing targets on their backs, took first place. Best costume went to team BMG who dressed—and acted—the parts of the Blue Man group.
