NORTHBOROUGH – A high-speed chase slowed traffic on Interstate 290 in Northborough on Monday afternoon.
According to WCVB, which recorded video of the incident, the chase started in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts and spanned parts of Route 9, Route 70, Interstate 495 and Interstate 290. The car was allegedly stolen.
Police deployed stop sticks during the chase.
The car hit several other vehicles during the incident and appeared to be missing a tire, according to WCVB. The driver of the vehicle lost control in Northborough, sending the car skidding off Interstate 290 and into the median, colliding with trees and shrubbery.
Three people — possibly juveniles — were taken into custody. Two people were transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
