Northborough – There weren’t any tricks Oct. 21 when local families got a head start on Halloween. They attended the free Truck or Treat in the parking lot of the open-air shopping center Northborough Crossing. First, the costumed kids were treated to a bag to fill with goodies.
A deejay provided music while children got behind the wheel of service vehicles and trucks. The town of Northborough supplied vehicles from the fire, police and public works departments. Also displayed were trucks from Alec Industries, Fuller RV Rentals, Kimball Sand Company, National Grid and Wegmans.
Mingling among the families were special guests Princess Anna and Queen Elsa from the animated film “Frozen,” along with superheroes Batman and Spiderman. Kids could also play several games including cornhole and checkers on a giant board.
