
Northborough – The Northborough Police Department released this statement last night:
On 07/04/13 during the hours between sunset and midnight the Northborough Police Department logged six incidents classified as “Disturbances” due to fireworks. On four of the six incidents police were able to identify the responsible persons. On three of the four incidents fireworks were seized. One of the identified persons, Jeffrey Payne age 36 of Hamilton Road, is believed to be responsible for disturbances in the Hamilton Road neighborhood frequently, so he is being summoned to court for a charge of Keeper of a Disorderly Household in addition to charges of Exploding Fireworks and Disturbing the Peace.
Besides being dangerous and illegal, the use of fireworks disrupts the usual peace and tranquility of neighborhoods and is viewed as a quality of life issue in Northborough. The Northborough Police take such reports seriously and investigates to the best of its abilities any reports deemed to affect the quality of life its residents.
