Northborough – This weekend, Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22, is Applefest! There are many events scheduled throughout the weekend highlighting community spirit, family fun and food as well as local businesses and organizations.
One of the signature events of the festival is the annual Street Fair sponsored by the Rotary Club of Northborough. This year it will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (rain date Sunday, Sept. 22) on Blake Street. It will showcase a variety of crafters, exhibitors, businesses, informational booths, town organizations and food vendors. (The Community Advocate will also be there!)
Unfortunately due to the potential threat of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), the traditional Saturday evening barbecue and fireworks events have been cancelled. But there are still plenty of fun activities to do on both Saturday and Sunday.
