Northborough – Diplomas were presented to the 2019 Algonquin Regional High School graduates during a ceremony June 2 held in the high school gymnasium, while an overflow crowd watch via video feed in the auditorium.
Graduates marched in to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance, played by the Algonquin Regional Symphonic Band, followed by the Senior Vocalists singing the Star Spangled Banner.
The commencement address was given by English teachers Virginia Fitzgerald and Thomas Alera.
Other speakers at the ceremony included Superintendent Christine Johnson, Class President Matthew White, Senior Class Essayist Giancarlo Coelho and Principal Sara Pragluski Walsh.
